Get answers to common questions about Eyebrow Tinting.
Tinted brow hairs typically hold color for about four to six weeks; the skin tint fades within one to two weeks. Longevity depends on hair growth, exfoliation, and sun exposure. We recommend touch-ups every four to six weeks to maintain shape and depth.
Professional tinting primarily colors brow hairs, not the skin. Technicians remove excess dye and choose a shade that complements your complexion for a natural finish. Brows may appear slightly darker immediately but soften within 24–48 hours. Patch testing prevents unwanted reactions.
Most clients tolerate brow tinting well, but a pre-treatment patch test is essential for those with sensitive skin or known allergies. We use professional dyes and can recommend hypoallergenic options. Disclose medications, recent chemical treatments, or pregnancy so we can advise appropriately.
Tinting is non-invasive and should not be painful. We protect the eye area and keep product away from the eyes; you may feel slight warmth or sensitivity. If you experience stinging or swelling, we remove the product immediately and rinse thoroughly.
Tinting darkens light or gray hairs and visually fills in sparse spots by coloring existing hairs, creating denser-looking brows. It won't create hairs where none exist; for bare gaps consider combining tinting with shaping, microblading, or tinted brow gels for fuller results.
Avoid getting brows wet, using steam, or applying exfoliating products for 24–48 hours to allow the tint to set. Use gentle cleansers, avoid harsh acids or retinoids near the brow area, and schedule maintenance every four to six weeks for consistent color.
